Airport Ideals.

Airports are strange places, but it took me a little bit of thinking to realise why.
I mean aside from the fact they are manufactured environments.
They are manufactured environments whos sole purpose is to bring people into a country and to help people get acquainted and out into their exciting holiday destinations.

It’s no small irony that every possible square meter of space is leased out to brand name labels.
Hilfiger, McDonalds, FCUK and GAP seem to attack me from every square foot of wall.
They almost upstage the place I’m visiting, becoming the reason you travel as apposed to just another outlet.

It says ‘Look we’re here, The brand that you love, no matter how far you go here we are. Comfort!’

Once you look past the lights and the bustle, it’s really oppressive and designed not so much to get you to buy here but to make you aware that those shops you love exist here as well.
Globalization is eating the world one public space at a time.

Enjoy, I was feeling down today. It’s a bit rubbish. Whatever.

Anyone who knows, is aware that my piano is my most treasured possession and the one thing that I am truly good at compared to the vast amount of other nothings that I try to do.

It makes me weak, it makes me strong, it makes me feel, it makes me live and it makes me die.
This is important.

The world spins…

Things keep turning and life goes on.

Got a new job that is fairly boring, I wrote a song for a friend for when she was down.

Action begins at 0:30 – *Song For Izz*

(action starts at 50 seconds in)
It’s not partciularly good and I lose my details at about 3 minutes for about 30 seconds because I have difficulty making my fingers keep up with what my head wants to do.

I’m off to Sydney on the 25th to see a gig, seriously looking forward to it.
Details here :

Yes i’m going to go see Amanda Palmer again, I need to quit doing this.
I’ve even got tickets to her Perth gig at flybynight a week later. Awesometastic.

Love living in central Perth, it’s really doing me some good, allowing me to get out of the house more, overcome my anxieties deal with the ‘Real’ for awhile.

Sociology at uni is slowly killing me and I have no idea if I’ll ever finish my degree. This blog is rapidly getting boring. Got a cool chick named Jen living with me, she likes the same stuff I do and enjoys my music which is always a bonus, as having a house mate who didn’t would probably drive me mildly insane.

Must write more things here, I stopped for a good long while. Hope to change this.

See you all soon,
